St. Bronagh’s GAA are delighted to announce that they have been selected as one of the host clubs for The John West Féile Peile na nÓg 2018 tournament hosted by Down, Louth & Meath on the weekend of Friday 29th June – Sunday 1st July 2018.
Recognised as one of the most important events in the GAA calendar, the Féile Peile na nÓg weekend for Under 14 boys and girls will see football played over three days with a total of up to 7000 players and 288 teams – 176 boys’ teams and 112 girls teams.
This will be the first time that Down and Louth have hosted this festival of Gaelic Football. The festival is about young people celebrating their love of Gaelic Games, bonding communities, allowing friendships to be made, providing educational opportunities and above all having fun.
We would like to welcome ALL those wishing to get involved to an information evening in the clubrooms on Tuesday 27th February at 8pm and we urge all our parents of current U14 boys and girls especially to attend. We have many great ideas and look forward to a wonderful weekend of celebration on and off the field in Rostrevor.
